Daily Notes of Japan's Invasion of Malaya
The daily notes were written by Encik Daud Bin Sulaiman Bin Mohd Salleh, who related the story of the war between the British and the Japanese, which took place in Batu Pahat and its surrounding regions in 1942. The Japanese carried out relentless attacks, mainly from the air. They dropped bombs to on certain areas such as rubber estates and Bukit Belah in Jalan Yong Peng. Japanese planes circled the town of Penggaram and an intense battle ensued, which prevented the Muslims from performing their Friday prayers as they had to run for cover.
