The chronology of important events that occurred during the Emergency in 1950 was issued by the Public Affairs Division of the Federation of Malaya. It covers events that occurred from January till June. It relates stories of atrocities committed by the Communist insurgents, including attacks, ambush, the murder of the Kampung Kongkoi village chief, and the fatal shooting of a Chinese teacher who was dragged from the classroom. The chronology also recorded the successes of the police and the people of Malaya in abetting the fight against the Communists. The incidents cover events that occurred in the states of Johor, Kedah, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak and Selangor.
