Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan (Federal Territory Mosque) is located on a 13.4 hectare land at Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur. Its construction commenced on 15 March 1996 and had been completed on 25 October 2000. This mosque is 47,000 square metres in area and is able to accommodate as many as 17,000 worshippers at a particular time. Its design is a combination of traditional Malaysian and Middle Eastern architectural design. The official launch of the mosque was inaugurated by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail on 18 February 2005 equivalent to 9 Muharam 1426.
