National Research Section

Home Affairs Research Unit

  1. To identify facts and issues related to the socio-economic, politic, culture and religion that involved national stability and security.
  2. To coordinate and conduct verification of records and information sources from inside and outside the country.
  3. To carry out research and provide relevant information.
  4. To publish the outcomes of study and research projects.
  5. To identify and manage research projects by appointing subject matter experts and researchers related to the national significant issues.
  6. To create mutual cooperation between National Archives and related departments/ agencies.
  7. To manage database centre related to the information and records that has been used during research.

International Research Unit

  1. To identify issues that involved boundary, rights, sovereignty and national interests.
  2. To plan, coordinate and conduct research regularly inside and outside the country as well as tracing sources, records and information.
  3. To study the validity, contents integrity and context of any information, records or archival materials to support, strengthen, protect or challenge certain claims.
  4. To acquire or obtain record copies as an important evidences to protect the rights, sovereignty and national interests.
  5. To carry out research and provide information for the feedback of an important issues.
  6. To identify and manage the research projects by appointing subject matter experts and research related to boundary issues and claim of rights, sovereignty and national territory.
  7. To manage database related to the information and records that has been used during research.
  8. To create mutual cooperation between National Archives and related departments/agencies.

Support Services Unit

  1. To operate Section's administrative matters (leave, correspondence, file systems, meetings, etc.).
  2. To handle Section's financial matters (vot book, government local orders, preparation of budget proposals).
  3. To manage the Registry at Section level.
  4. To coordinate Section's personnel affairs and services.
