Archive Record Centre Unit

  1. To plan on the requirements of space & tool for storage of public records.
  2. To receive and manage the transfer, surrender or deposit of public records to the custody and control of the National Archives.
  3. To manage the processing of public records.
  4. To manage the storage, maintenance, and preservation of public records in holdings
  5. To ensure the safety and security of the Records Centre building and premises.
  6. To plan and manage the transfer of  public records of archival status to the Main Repository Section.

Agency Record Centre Unit

  1. To provide specifications for the establishment of an Agency Record Centre.
  2. To provide procedure, standard & guideline for the maintenance and preservation of public records in an Agency Record Centre.
  3. To provide advice and expertise regarding the establishment of an Agency Record Centre and on the maintenance of public records.
  4. To monitor compliance with the specification and standard set for a Record Centre building and the equipment and tools for the storage of public records.
