Archive Record Centre Unit
- To plan on the requirements of space & tool for storage of public records.
- To receive and manage the transfer, surrender or deposit of public records to the custody and control of the National Archives.
- To manage the processing of public records.
- To manage the storage, maintenance, and preservation of public records in holdings
- To ensure the safety and security of the Records Centre building and premises.
- To plan and manage the transfer of public records of archival status to the Main Repository Section.
Agency Record Centre Unit
- To provide specifications for the establishment of an Agency Record Centre.
- To provide procedure, standard & guideline for the maintenance and preservation of public records in an Agency Record Centre.
- To provide advice and expertise regarding the establishment of an Agency Record Centre and on the maintenance of public records.
- To monitor compliance with the specification and standard set for a Record Centre building and the equipment and tools for the storage of public records.
