SECTION FUNCTION
Administration Unit: General Administration

Planning and managing all general administrative matters of the department in accordance with office regulations and relevant circulars/letters.

Coordinating all matters related to the House of Representatives/Senate and Cabinet.

Coordinating all matters related to Cabinet Papers and monitoring feedback on Cabinet Meeting decisions.
-
Managing and coordinating the nomination process for awards/medals of honor.
-
Managing and coordinating matters related to official and unofficial visits abroad.
-
Managing and coordinating matters with KeKKWa and other agencies.
-
Managing the maintenance and booking of departmental vehicles.
-
Managing and maintaining facilities and bookings for sports fields (football, basketball, netball, gym).
-
Managing and monitoring the department's time recording system.

Managing and coordinating departmental ceremonial events.

Administration Unit: Security Unit
- Managing and coordinating security procedures (main office, memorials, and state branches).
- Managing and coordinating security guard recruitment.
- Managing and coordinating position certification exams and security guard training.
- Managing departmental document security and confidentiality in collaboration with the Records Management and Registry Section.
- Enhancing daily departmental security (staff, visitors, buildings, the public, etc.).
- Managing security during official events.
Human Resource and Organizational Development Unit
- Planning and managing career development and progression.
- Conducting Training Needs Analysis for career development.
- Planning and providing specialized and professional training for archive service schemes.
- Planning and providing general training based on public service scheme requirements.
- Providing course content and modules for archive service & collaboration schemes.
- Managing the Competency Assessment Test (CAT).
- Managing Departmental Examinations and Public Service General Examinations.
- Developing organizational policies and directions.
- Planning and implementing departmental strategic management and corporate image.
- Planning and developing departmental organizational structure, roles, functions, and activities.
- Human Resource Development Panel.
- Planning and implementing change management, leadership, good governance (accountability, integrity & transparency).
- Business process improvement, KPI, and desk file studies.
- Conducting reassessment of capabilities and capacities.

- Managing placement and transfers.
- Decentralization of power.
- Development of service schemes.
- Managing appointments, recruitment, confirmation, promotions, and retirement.
- Updating the service book.

- Managing asset declaration, security clearance, and integrity screening.

- Managing financial affairs (vot book, government orders, budget proposal preparation) for the Section.
- Managing the Registry at the Section level.
- Coordinating personnel and service matters for the Section.
