Development And Maintenance Section
- Planning and identifying the construction of physical projects such as the construction of State Branch Archive buildings, memorials/libraries/galleries.
- Planning and implementing the upgrading works of Archive buildings/State Branch Archive buildings, memorials/libraries/galleries.
- Conducting research on project development and research for the preparation of building briefs.
- Planning project implementation schedules with the implementing agency (Public Works Department).
- Coordinating and monitoring the implementation of project development through monthly meetings with the implementing agency and contractors.
- Monitoring project progress, scope changes, and managing payments until the building is fully completed.
- Updating, reviewing, and entering data into the Project Monitoring System, preparing reports for the Economic Planning Unit, and preparing development impact reports.
- Planning development projects for the Five-Year Plan period according to EPU guidelines.
- Collecting and coordinating all project proposals from all divisions.
- Planning the annual allocation requirements and cash flow for the Department's development budget according to Treasury Circulars.
- Preparing the Department's annual development budget estimate for presentation at the Budget Review Meeting.
- Preparing working papers, concept papers, Cabinet Papers, Proposed Projects under the Five-Year Plan, Financial Reports, Project Progress Reports.
- Preparing and coordinating the scheduling of meetings related to development projects.
- Acting as the Secretariat for development and acquisition meetings.
- Planning, identifying, and managing the acquisition of property, buildings, and equipment.
- Conducting a feasibility study on asset effectiveness before asset acquisition.
- Holding discussions, meetings with KPTG/EPU/Treasury/Department of Valuation and other agencies involved in the land acquisition and purchase process.
- Obtaining certification and approval from EPU/Treasury before acquiring buildings.
- Managing the processes of buying and selling agreements, leasing, transfers of ownership, and payments.
- Managing the physical security of property, buildings, and assets.
- Managing the maintenance, repairs, and modifications of buildings and offices.
- Managing the maintenance and repairs of mechanical and electrical systems (elevators, dumbwaiters, etc.).
- Managing the cleanliness and environmental atmosphere of the office.
- Managing and maintaining landscaping and parking lots.
