Consultation and Training Section
OBJECTIVE OF SECTION
- Planning, managing, and implementing training/courses/workshops and advisory services on record management to ensure that public offices implement record management programs efficiently, systematically, and effectively in line with the provisions of the National Archives Act 2003 [Act 629] as well as international best practices and principles.
- Planning, managing, and implementing the Malaysia Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP) including record management and archive administration modules.
FUNCTION OF SECTION
- Implementing consultations and advisory services related to record management, preservation, and restoration of government records for civil servants.
- Managing the validation and appointment of Departmental Record Officers in public offices.
- Planning, preparing, and implementing various activities related to organizing workshops and courses on record management, such as:

- Basic Departmental Record Management Course
- Departmental Record Officer Course
- Departmental Record Administrative Assistant Course
- File Classification Development Workshop
- Record Disaster Action Plan Development Workshop
- Record Preservation Course After Disaster

- Planning, preparing, and implementing various activities related to organizing workshops and courses on archive administration, such as:
